It's been almost two weeks, but with all the drama, I decided to hold off on sharing. But seeing as the dust has settled, here goes....I sent handmade invitations for a brunch at my house to seven spectacular girls. I held it the morning of our engagement party because I wanted everyone there and more so, to make the entire day a huge event. I cooked a fabulous breakfast from scratch! After breakfast, I presented the girls with a surprise: a handmade card, a tank top in our wedding colors, and a bridesmaid survival kit. I would say the cards and gifts were a hit as two of my bffs started shedding tears. I created a little get to know you game for them to play, based on facts about them. Then, we headed to a secret destination... Miracle Mile! I tried on gowns and they looked around for ideas for their own dresses. Overall, I think the day was a total success! I was so happy that they could all be there with me and even happier that I will have them by my side on my wedding day....Then we had our engagement party at my FI's aunt's house. It turned out so beautifully. FMIL was kinda driving me crazy leading up to it, but I'm glad she did because the results were great. A lot of our friends and fam were there and I felt like such a diva(in a good way) for the first time in a LONG time! PIB under DIY and Engagement Party
