Bridal party gifts as well as rehearsal dinner?

If we do a rehearsal dinner, should we get the bridal party gifts as well? We don't have the budget for both, unfortunately.

IMO, do what you want to do. The RD and the gifts are all extras... if you can do it great, if not - not a big deal. Just write your bridal party thank you notes for being in your wedding :)I think they will appreciate the RD more then the gifts, but that's just my opinion!p.s. my brother and sister did the rehearsal in their basement and we did a pot luck for food - it was awesome!

I think it would be nice to get them something small, but I agree with Coutrney that as long as you write a thank you, I think that is enough. Maybe you could make them something, they have really pretty beads at Michaels, you could do a bracelet in your wedding color. Or get a cheap frame and print a cute picture of you together, or give it to them after the wedding with a wedding picture of the bridal party.

Another idea for a gift (although it would be after the wedding) is to make your bridesmaids a small scrapbook/photo album.  Tell your photog to get pictures of you with them indiviually, as a group, and candid.

I was actually going to give my bridal party their gifts @ the rehearsal dinner. Like as a part of the decor of the table, each setting was going to have a bm or gm gift on the plate.

I'm sorry... I totally misunderstood the post.. I though u were asking if u had to buy bridal party gifts as well as gifts for the rehearsal dinner. Girlllll don't even stress about it. Write a nice thank u card and that's it! Another good idea (which I am also doing) is buy the iron on bridesmaid rhinestone at michaels for $1. Then stalk old navys website for the next tank top sale. I bought them for $2 at the sale last weekend. A $3 bridesmaid tank! U can't beat that! Hope that helps!
