Help! Meeting with DOC.. what to expect??

Hey ladies.. =)FI and I are meeting up with a DOC this week and I wanted to know what, if anyting, should I ask? Am I supposed to bring anything with me? What should I expect?Thanks! Any advice is appreciated.. I'm so lost in this department..

I had my planning binder with me when I met with mine so I could show her what I had already booked/chosen and what I was working on.  It kind of gave her a feel for my needs, style, etc.  Good luck!

Don't worry, I was nervous when I first met Letty face to face too! We had talked on the phone/email several times, but never in person. She came to my cake tasting so I didnt have much with me but it was great to meet her in person!! I'm sure your DOC will make you feel very at ease!!

Honestly dont even bring that much - they do most of the talking/asking questions!

I had no idea either!!! Karla did most of the talking and asking questions, but once we delved into my ideas, I found out there were so many ways that she was going to be able to help me! I want a bamboo 'arch' (not really an arch but not quite a huppah) and was quoted $500-700 from various florists. Karla said that I should get the fabric and flowers from the florist ($100) and let her buy and build the bamboo arch since she has experience from doing so at her sister's wedding!So my lesson learned was to address ideas that you're struggling with and see what suggestions you get in return. The fact that Karla is doing this almost completely offsets her fee, and saving money always makes me happy

Thanks for the advice ladies. I never really planned on having a DOC so I haven't given it much thought. We'll see how it goes!
