All Inclusive advice needed

Does anyone have reviews on the best all inclusives? We are looking to avoid the Atlantic Ocean side since we will be Honeymooning in September (hurrican season...) I saw that Dreams has one in Cabo. We would like a place that has a great beach for relaxing, great restaurants, and some fun outside excursions. (Not really into scuba or anything water related)

Are all inclusives the best way to go? I've heard they are very convenient and.  I'm just beginning the honeymoon search so any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Re: All Inclusive advice needed

  • Hello,

I've been to 4 different resorts that were AI; two were Sandals resorts (St. Lucia and Grand Bahama), one was RIU (Aruba) AWFUL and the other, which will never EVER be topped, and that was Palace Resorts Aventura Spa Palace. The BEST food, the BEST service, SUPER clean...it was just amazing.

AI's are good because everything's included. So long as there's a variety of restaurants, you're good...IMHO at least.

    GL!

Palace Resorts are the best! We have been to Aventura and are heading to Sun Palace Wed AM for our 3rd visit in the last 2 years. Outstanding service.

I may be wrong but I thought hurricane season was during the same time period on the Pacific side, however, usually less active.
  • There are so many to choose from! You should pick your area and go from there. For example, if you decide to go to Cancun, check Tripadvisors top picks for resorts. Tripadvisor gives honest reviews from many travelers andranks them based on reviews. I would check out Secrets and Excellence. They get great reviews and I recently stayed at Excellence Playa Mujeres and loved it!
  • My FI just foundt his place called Zoetry. Anyone heard of it? Trip Advisor reviews are amazing.

I just don't see any all-inclusive resort being able to TOP Palace Resorts! When we were in Aruba, in the ocean, we met two other couples that were talking about how awful RIU Aruba was, and they followed their statements with "well, we stayed at a place in Mexico that will never be beaten - Aventura Spa Palace"; I knew exactly what they meant! I couldn't find anything wrong with ANYTHING there!

Also stayed at Aventura in October for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it!!  Nothing bad about it really!

And about hurricane season-our friends were going on their honeymoon to Cabo at the end of August, and had to cancel because of the hurrican that hit near there.  We went to Aventura in Riviera Maya in October, and no problems.  It was perfect hot and sunny weather!
