I had a gf over tonight and she was so sweet to let me show her all our wedding ideas, my bio, and the stuff I've accumulated in my apt.Well, she was just shocked that I was doing so much as far as details and that I knew the difference between tea length program and say maybe a sqaure..LOL. She said "You must literally do this all day!"The funny thing is she just got married a year ago, but didn't get into all the stuff we do.Has anybody gotten similar expressions? Are we nuts?

i get this all the time...I still get people asking me what chivari chairs are! and why i am so stuck on using them! lol ..truth is we do do this all day ;)it's 10 pm...i get off work at 5 i am still in my office, knotting!

I didn't know what certain stuff was until I started knotting. I was talking about gable boxes and OOT bags with my mom and she was like, oh where did you learn about that the knot? Haha. Ummm... yes!

haha! i was knot starved!!! I was out of town for a week and missed knotting so much, i feel the need to catch up! but ok..i am leaving

Yes! All my bms did nothing like this. They didn't even know about the knot... some girls don't care that much I guess..and those girlsthink we're crazy! lol

The few girls I've seen got really into details...but it's only been one or two. We're all just now getting married so it's just beginning. I would say the details are really coming out nowEven me... I'm not the super detail girl...and I still try to avoid it now but I can't front. I love it and try to get the best deals out of details so I can use more and more of them!

I'm hooked. I love this board. There are so many awesome posts to read, pictures to look at...my fiance thinks I'm crazy and that all I do is look at wedding stuff. It may be true....

Yes and no. On one side, Craig at first thought the name was "nutties" instead of "knotties" (blame my accent for that one, lol). And he thought it was a bit crazy of me, but now he asks me how the girls are doing, he knows which knottie is which "Amy with the baby". "Tall Jamie". "Tess with the chicken nickname". "Alissa in Coral Springs". Lol. It's cute of him. On the other hand, a friend saw my planning bio and had a small coronary at the amount of detail I'm putting into this, considering I used to be the poster child of commitment phobia. Nobody has told me I'm crazy for wanting letterpress, i think not. At least not to my face! Hahaha! I've learned so much in this board I'm thankful for all the tips and advice. But I'm more thankful for the friendships!
