Sorry a lil late! Work is kicking my bootay today:)1. First Name & FI's First name and wedding date? Jannette & Jasmany, May 8th, 20102. Where did you go to college? FIU, Go Panthers! 3. What part of the world do you live in?Sunny Miami4. How did you and FI Meet?Myspace!! FI & I had alot of friends in common so I'm sure at some point we bumped into eachother. One day I noticed his myspace page and he looked super familiar and I noticed we had alot of the same friends. So, I was bold and messaged him to figure out where I knew him from (prob the lamest excuse to get someone's attention but whatever, it worked! lol)  5. How long have you been together?FI and I were friends before we actually got tougether romantically. He was the pursuer and was really persistant for the 3 years we were friends. I was in the whole "partying and dating the Mr. Wrong's" stage so wasn't interested in settling down at the time. Luckily, he waited and I realized things and we have been officially tougether for 3 yrs 6. Do you live together? Why or why not?My family is ubber Cuban and traditional. They strongly believe in living tougether after your married. In my case, since we're both finishing school right now there was really no point in moving tougether and paying a mortgage yet so we figured we would stay with our families until we become engaged/married and were financially better off. We have an offer on a condo now so we're crossing our fingers it goes thru! 7. How did FI propose?We had been talking about marriage for some time so I knew the actual proposal was bound to happen. One day, we went to the beach w/ some friends and he kept rushing me telling me we had to leave home soon because he had to run some errands with his mom. I didn't think too much of it so we left. Since it was finals week, I stayed @ his house studying while him and his mom left to run "the errands" (really it was to pick up my ring). So when they came back, I noticed he kept going outside to talk on the phone, which I thought was really odd but didn't think anything of it (during that time he was calling my whole family to go to his house in the next 10 minutes because he was going to propose) So, as I was studying in my PJ's looking like a complete mess, he comes up to me and begins this whole speech on how he doesn't want to wait to get married etc etc.. and the whole time I kept thinking why couldn't he wait till after I was done studying to have this conversation, lol, so he pulls out a little white box and get's on one knee and my whole family runs out from hiding in the hallway w/ video camera and all. Then it clicked and I knew what was happening. It was the most surreal moment and I was soo happy our families (and dogs lol) were able to share it with us I would've killed him though because I always told him when he proposes I wanted to look nice and have a cute outfit and have a perfect manicure LOL!! But he's just too sneeky8. How long of an engagement are you having/did you have? Why?1 year and 1 month. Since we were house hunting, planning the wedding and finishing school all at the same time, we figured it would be best to at least have a year to not feel rushed when wedding planning and to financially be able to afford everything we wanted.9. Favorite wedding vendor so far?Joseph Casal (photographer) and Grisel (DOC)10. Biggest piece of wedding advice you can share so far?Negotiate and stick to a budget. Since the very beginning I've been counting paychecks and working on our budget and, although I feel like fainting everytime we see the real #'s, at least we know what and where our money is going to. Also, prioritize what you want. For example, if your venue and food is really important to you, but flowers aren't too much, then cut back on the kind of flowers you'll have so that way you can have some room to splurge on what's on the top of your must have list.11. What do you do for a career? What does FI do?I am a Student Coordinator @ a local college and finishing my last 2 semesters in Public Relations and Business. FI is a Property Closer and student majoring in Network Engineering.12. Do you think you could be/will ever be a stay at home mama?Not sure. Right now that I have no kids I can't see myself staying home and not working and feeling productive. But, once I have kids that might change since I would want to spend as much time with them as possible and be an active part of their upbringing. 13. Do you want children? Any potential names yet?Absolutely! I am OBSESSED with twins (I'm crazy, I know) I would love twin girls or boy/girl 14. Do you have any pets? Names?Yep, our lil Mia. She's a mini dachshund15. Do you have any siblings?1 older sister, 1 younger brother and 1 younger half sister16. What is your favorite food?Anything Italian YUM!17. What is your favorite movie?Serendipity, Notting Hill & Pretty Woman18. What is your favorite drink? (Alcohol and Non-Alcohol)Blue long islands (but too loaded with sugars) and Red Bull & Vodka19. What is the hardest part of wedding plans for you?The guest list, hands down! Fi and I have huge families so it's really hard to keep the guest list to a minimum20. Where are you honeymooning?7 day cruise to puerto rico, st thomas, bahamas and the turks21. What is the best thing you learned on The Knot?There are alot of ways you can cut costs by DIY and using some creativity. This board has also been great with giving reviews on vendors so you can always keep an eye out on unprofessional vendors (such as JM, yes I went there lol) All you ladies have allowed me to stay sane throughout this whole process :)22. What's one city you would love to live in for a year?New York! I love how it's fast paced and landing a position in a respectable PR firm wouldn't be too far fetched.23. What do you love most about your FI?His sence of humor and outlook in life. He's usually the one that's laid back and I'm the type A personality so we balance eachother out (thank God, otherwise we'd kill eachother lol). I love his ways of making me laugh even when I'm sad or upset and the way he is always social and friendly with everyone. He's never embarressed to look like a fool infront of everyone just for a few good laughs. He's a wonderful FI & will be excellent husband and father one day I can go on and on... I truly am blessed with the man of my dreams, and of course it doesn't hurt that he's a complete hottie 24. If you have an extra $5000 to put towards your wedding only, what would you spend it on? An exotic honeymoon to Fiji and Australia 25. What is one silly thing about you?I'm kind of OCD about certain things... I'm a clean freak and hate dust with a passion. I hate little things like when people eat with their mouths open, when people drag their feet when wearing sandals (AHH!!!!) I also have a very good sence of smell. I can smell things a mile away (good or bad, lol) so FI can never get away with a silent fart LOL!!26. What Knottie wedding would you love to attend?I would love to go to Amy's because Jordyn will be able to participate and I know there won't be one dry eye in the whole place. Jill and Morgan's weddings seem so modern I would love to go see those too. Monica's as well because she's a Douglas bride too, Court, Alyssa's and Ana's is going to be super nice too, and Meli when she has her's... AHH ok, that's it, I want to go to everyone's weddings!! :)27. What is something you learned from The Knot that you never heard of prior? I never knew that Bridal Shower's had to be thrown by someone else other than yourself !! I always thought you can participate in the planning and games without being thought of as "tacky" as P&E liked to put it. Pshh whatever!!!!!!!! I'm sure I'm not the only one lol28. What other Knottie boards do you visit? Trash to Treasure and occassionally the home decorating one. But I stay true to SOFLA ;)29. Describe yourself in 3 words.Social, easily ammused, and friendly30. What else do you want to share?? I haven't had a chance to thank you girls for all the advise and pointers you have given me. It's helped me in more ways than one. I can't wait to finally meet you all in November's G2G! WOOHOO!!!

Thanks girls!! A lil funny story... I was reading the "what do you love most about your FI" to my FI and he goes:FI: "what's fee?"Me: "what are you talking about?"FI: "Fee, what does that mean and why do you love it so much?"Me: "Babe, it's not 'FEE' its F-I as in 'FIANCE'HAHAHA!!!! It's been the joke of the day, from now on I call him "fee" not "babe" lol
