Budget venue recs

Hi all!  I'm in the early stages of planning and completely overwhelmed by looking for a venue.  We have a tight budget and a guest list of around 150 (FI has a huge family so it's hard to cut back).  We'd love to avoid the typical south Florida country club or banquet hall wedding.  We would also LOVE an outdoor ceremony in a beautiful setting.  But, with our tight budget I'm open to all suggestions in the south Florida area (we are near Fort Lauderdale but comfortable with a Palm Beach or Miami wedding if it makes more sense).  Thanks!!!

Not sure what your budget may be, or how much you want the venue to provide, but here are some options in Miami:

    The Shane Center
    Deering Estate
    The Chart House (My Venue)
    The Doral Country Club
    Miami Beach Botanical Gardens
    Pinecrest Gardens
    The Spanish Monastery

    HTH! GL!

Benvenuto (Boynton Beach) has an outdoor ceremony space that is really pretty. I'm having my reception there and every time someone hears, they rave about the food they had at a wedding they attended there. I found them to be really willing to work with my budget and the coordinator, Maria, is super sweet.

I second the Chart House it has really pretty outdoor pace for ceremony and reception..and its pretty good price! Im a budget bride as well.

But maybe if you give us your budget we can give more suggestions..sometimes what people think is a tight budget really is not :)  GL either way!

Thanks for all the suggestions!  We are still waiting to find out how much exactly his parents can chip in.  But we are thinking between us and them (my parents to their dismay unfortunately aren't in a position to help at the time) our budget will be around $10,000.

I like not traditional!  Thanks for that one...I'll be checking it out ASAP.  Do you (or anyone else) have caterer recs as well?  I hear bringing in your own caterer is a huge $$ saver.  But, I'm always afraid of the "get what you pay for" and our food not being great.

Thanks for all the help, everyone!
