Florals/decor vendors? Any advice?

Hi, all! I am so stressed out about choosing a floral/décor vendor. I think it has been the most stressful wedding planning activity for me to date. I think it stresses me out because of the amount of money it takes to get even small things. Does that make sense?

Anyway…

I was wondering if anyone could offer some input or personal experiences with any of these vendors? I have met with all of them and have received proposal from most of them. They all have good Wedding Wire reviews. Any advice from you ladies would be much appreciated!

Vivian Colls vs. Gerilyn Gianna
How do you think these compare? Gerilyn seems to be more expensive but more responsive. Vivian is very friendly/warm and her work is very pretty. Geri’s work is really nice but I have not seen as much of it other places. Does anyone have any personal experience with them?

Dalsimer Atlas
I have mixed feelings after my meeting with this vendor. Their work is very nice but they seem to be very pricey (maybe too pricey??). Has anyone worked with Dalsimer on a moderate budget (less than $5,000)? I also think their end product is gorgeous but their communication seems a bit sketchy (like they were not receptive my ideas). I would love to hear some reviews of this vendor.

Any others I should be looking into?

I really appreciate any help you ladies can provide! Thanks so much!

  • Never heard of them. But I'm using Creations by Blanca. She is very affordable.

  • Sorry never heard of anyone of them - I'm using A Blooming Touch and she is very affordable

  • I'd personally book Vivian over Gerilyn. An old Knottie and good friend of mine interviewed Gerilyn and wasn't impressed. Based on what she told me and what I know about Vivian, I'd choose Vivian.

Dalsimer was out of my price range but I know they do great work and have good reviews.

In the meantime try Rose with Dreammakers in Boynton Beach or Creations by Blanca!

  • ***like they were not receptive my ideas*** THIS for Dalsimer. That is the exact same reason we didn't hire them. The guy just wanted to run his own show, nevermind what we said. They were pricey too.
I've never heard of the others, we used Creations by Blanca. VERY affordable and the results were gorgeous. I posted some pics in my reviews not too long ago (wedding was on 3/18).

    HTH!
  • I'd look into Flowers by Carol lin the Gables. She's at a happy medium when it comes to prices. She wants to charge ~2000 for my 90-person wedding.
  • I have not heard of them either and I am using Creations by Blanca as well. She is amazing
  • Creations by blanca! Hands down
  • Also read my review on dalsimer. You will not be getting a quote under $3000. That's a promise. If you have a budget under that number expect him to completely disregard it.

La Orquidea Design...They did a wonderful job with my center pieces at my wedding, and they were extremely affordable. Ask for Clara.
