Getting rings cleaned/polished?

How long before the big day should I get our rings cleaned/polished? (he's been wearing his cause he's a big ol' dork and I love him. lol)

I would say as close to the date as possible.. I clean my ering with toothpaste and a toothbrush and it makes it sparkle.

Careful, I heard doing that may loosen the stones -- if you have pave.

I am getting it done one month before the big day. That way I have plenty of time to get them back. Last time I sent them out to get cleaned and polished it took about 3 weeks. HTH!!!!

i took mine the monday before my saturday wedding and i had it back a day later. I didn't want to be without it too many days and I decided to not wear my ring again (after it got cleaned) until the wedding (except for 4 hours at the RD) so it wouldn't get dirty.

The people at the jeweler old me to take mine in 3 weeks before the wedding.

if you have pave, DO NOT get your ring cleaned, make sure you take to a repubetable company, like Tiffany, where they don't do the 'pressure' wash.
