Planner refuses to put attire agreement

I'm about to sign a contract for a DOC.  There is nothing mentioned of how the DOC will dress for my day.  When asking her about it, she seemed a little bitchy and basically told me its not even any issue cuz they are very professional  Should I be concerned?  Maybe I shouldn't be, but I feel hesitant now that she got bitchy with me.  Ugh!  :::Frustrated:::

I personally would stress it if it is important to you. a friend of mine didnt stress it to her photogs and she was having a blacktie wedding and was upset at how they came dressed.

Yes, if she refuses maybe you should find a different DOC. If you are getting bad vibes from her, time to move on. What you find professional and what others find professional can be two totally different things. Maybe mention to her you would like if she wore.. xyz, and avoided wearing jeans or say a summer dress.

My planner told me to go to her website to see how she dresses professionally. Yes, on her blogs she is dressed in a pant-suit, but does that mean that she will to mine?  I dunno what to do.  I feel like she's giving me a good price and I hate to not hit it off with her.  Don't know what to do.

Jessica Estrada - She was recommended by other knoties.  She was willing to work with my very limited budget, but I hope she doesn't skimp out on me bc of it.

Agreed. The DOC, of all people, should understand a bride's need to get everything in writing! I think you are right to wonder about her, if she is bitchy on this point.

I agree w/pp.  I would be a little concerned if the person you are depending on for your big day was getting bitchy and already making you uncomfortable... but maybe she was having a bad day...

I would try talking to her again and if she's the same, then maybe you want to look for someone else.

Honestly I don't have an attire agreement in my contract with my planner. But I have never been with her and felt like she was dressed inappropriately for the situation. I trust her judgement

i think that is your planner has an issue with adding an extra clause to your contract that "you" are asking her to do it then thats a problem. just shows she wont go above and beyond.

Jessica is also my DOC, and when I asked her to add something to the contract she did it with no problems. Personally, I love her and can't wait to work more with her, but you're not always going to hit it off with everybody. Maybe she's not for you and you should look for someone else.
