How to write "Do not Pass" nicely? lol

There is a staircase right by the front door of my venue, and I wanted to make a nice sign to hang across the stairs saying like,  "please, do not pass", or "please, do not enter", or "please, do not cross"?

Is there a nicer way to put it? Or do the ones I put sound fine?

Help :(

THe ones you have written sound polite enough. Is this so your guests know not to go there?

I like the Please DO NOT Enter!!!! That way it's polite but it still gets the point across. Also I think if you put do not pass, people might get confused.

sadou:: yeap. It's so the guests know they can't go upstairs.
cmp: True.. I see your point on the do not pass.
beth:: Good idea.. Maybe I can add that onto the sign on the bottom.
