Bridal Gown and Bridesmaids Dresses and Alterations
Mariolka's Bridal, Boynto Beach - A++
The husband and wife that own this store are very sweet people. Mariolka is very creative and we found the dresses in her store to be somewhat unusual and not run of the mill. She will negotiate on pricing. She was about our 6th bridal salon and Tara found so many dresses she wanted to try on. She ended up getting a dress from Essense of Austrailia and it was beautiful. We also got the bridesmaids dresses at Mariolkas (Jasmine B2) and each girl picked out her own dress. Same color and fabric but they all had different styles. Two bridesmaids have told me they have plans to wear their dresses again as guests at other weddings! Mariolka did the alterations for Tara and for several of her bridesmaids as well as for myself and my mother. Typical charges were $35.00 and she did Tara's free of charge. One of Tara's bridesmaids found out she was pregnant after the dresses were ordered and she was 5 months pregnant at the time of the wedding. Of course her dress didn't fit. Mariolka ordered more fabric and put in side panels. You couldn't even tell! When she found out that the alterations and extra fabric charges were too high for the bridesmaids she waived half of the charge! As I said, very sweet people!
Tuxedos - Men's Wearhouse - A
We used two different locations, one for ordering, a different one for pick up. 13 Tuxedos in all - everyone looked good. The ones that didn't fit were either altered at the shop in Plantation or send back for a different size and delivered the very next day. Tuxes came in by Tuesday for a Saturday wedding so the guys had plenty of time to go try on.
