Vendor Parking

Is it mandatory that vendors valet park at the hotel the wedding is taking place at?  Can I ask them to park at the nearby garage so it saves me money?  Or is this a no-no?

Good question!  I'm going to watch this

I think it depends on the equipment they carry... a lot of the stuff the videographer carries may be heavy or a lot, same as the photographer. I think this would be a huge inconvenience to them, and may delay them gettinig to the reception on time after the ceremony (if it's not in the same location) for no reason. They'll also have to walk farther with all of the equipment late at night after the wedding and that isn't safe.

It's probably only a few extra bucks in the long run. You're getting married at the Collonade and parking throughout the Gables is expensive no matter what.

    I wouldn't ask... I think it's a little rude.

You should check with your venue if they have a loading area for vendors. Most venues do, so vendors can leave their cars there. If your venue doesn't have a loading area, I would definitely suggest paying for valet parking.
