South Florida Wedding... in July??

Hi all! Just got engaged last week and have been lurking ever since. I've already learned so much! Lol! Right now we're trying to narrow down a date. The soonest I can do it (because of grad school) is July 2011. Obviously August, September, and October are out. I'd rather not wait until November but I'm worried it'll be way too hot in July. Would it help if we kept everything close to the water? I only live in SoFl for part of the year so I really don't know how hot it gets. This will be a destination wedding for most of our guests. Will it be unbearable? Thanks!

    Welcome and congrats.

Im a July bride and no it wont be unbearable, it can get hot here but not unbearable. If you want a beach wedding do a beach wedding otherwise find something with A/C since its Florida its always nice to have a/c. HTH

I am a July bride also. And to be honest it rained this past Jan, more than it has ever rained in July in South FLorida!

there are a lot of july brides who have beautiful and amazing weddings!!! however, i'm a freak of being clean and fresh.  so when it came time to pick a date, i refused to have a miami summer wedding.  for me, it's just unbearable ... even with AC. To be in a huge dress with hair and makeup done and sweating  was just not what i wanted for my wedding day or my pictures.  so since i couldn't have my dream march wedding because of school, i chose january.  but that's just me.

I'm a July Bride but I'm having ceremony and reception inside. I would put my guests through the heat outside for nothing. So I would have it inside if I were you, unless your ceremony is quick, like 15 mins hehe. Good Luck!

Thanks guys! Glad to know I'm not the only who has considered this. I'd just really like to get it done as soon as we can, rather than wait for winter.
