Timing of Alterations

How much time should I give for alterations? The wedding is July 2. I need it hemmed, taken in a little, and bustle added. Thanks!

My daughter started her alterations the beginning of Jan. Her wedding is 2/26. She needed the exact same alterations as you did.

I started four months in advance, but my dress has a lot of really delicate lace and beading, and it needed to be taken in a full size.

I think 6 weeks should do it then because it shouldn't be too hard. And this gives me plenty of time to lose all those Girl Scout cookie pounds.  :)

Perfect timing for this question because my dress came in and I was thinking the same thing. Dana JR we have the same wedding date! :)
