California Honeymoon....

Ok ladies, this may not be traditional, I know, but life happens sometimes and we just kinda have to work with what we have been given in life.

We are thinking about taking a tour of california for our honeymoon, but we have two small kids and we will be taking them with us. Our daughter will be 9 and our son 2 at the time of the honeymoon. Neither one of us can even imagine being without them for a full week.

Anyways...the question..anyone been to California? Basically we want to go to San Francisco, LA, and San Diego. Should we do anything else? What are must dos in these cities??

    That sounds like a fun honeymoon :-)  Some years back, FI and I went to San Diego.  We went to Sea World and Balboa Park.  The kids would probably love Sea World and Balboa Park was really pretty- if you're into flowers and nature stuff .. That's mainly what we did there.  Oh and we loved having a Dave & Busters a couple miles from our hotel.  http://www.balboapark.org/

    We are doing the same honeymoon minus kids in tow. There are wineries not great for kiddos I would assume , Alcatraz tours, the big redwoods? Trees, the seals, crooked street. I've never been to CA, but I would bet There are the city tour buses double decker bus that takes you to the hot tourist spots and is also a hop on hop off so great way to get around. I did one in NY it was great. Have fun!

    oh how fun!! that is an awesome tour.  You can even do a train ride from San Diego to San Fran (or the reverse) and it is beautiful!!! LA is fun but really only by Santa Monica and Venice Beach, of course you have to hit Rodeo Drive too!! San Diego is so much fun and it's all about the outdoors when you're there.  I think you will have a wonderful trip and it's awesome to create all of those memories on the West Coast!! good luck and have fun!
