marriage license

how soon can you get it? I found the forms online to take to the courthouse but besides that I'm pretty lost :)

    90 days before you get married, i believe!!

    and i have a follow up question for this:

    if you are getting out of that, you obviously need to get a license in that state... but do you need to get a license in the state you live in, too!?

    Tess, I think you only need to get the licence in the state you're getting married in... and there's usually no waiting period when you're from out of state. At least that's how it works in FLA if I'm not mistaken.

    Your marriage license is actually valid 60 days before your wedding.  Check out...http://www.clerk-17th-flcourts.org/Clerkwebsite/Marriage/FAQs.aspx.

    Tess- I'm pretty sure you just need a license in NY not FL too.
