Flower Meetings

So I am going to meet with 3 florists at the end of the week. Any advice? I know nothing about flowers!

I am trying to meeting with Ocean Florists & Vivian Colls (but that hasn't been confirmed yet) then my planner does flowers as well.

yup, i agree with PPs. Bring pictures. and an open mind to ideas. Knowing what flowers your florist can get for you at a better price is key! Good luck

Do flower / centerpiece research now and get an idea of what types of flowers you like or would like to see at your wedding. Do you like the low and small centerpieces or someting taller and bigger? (This may also be affected by your budget)
What colors do you want to use? Candles? etc etc The florists will help get all the details but definitely have an idea of what style you are going for.

Agree with all PP's- Pictures made my meeting with the florist a breeze! He got a great idea of what I am looking for for each part of the wedding and I am not stressing that I won't get what I want. Also, try to plan out in advance how many you need of each item (bouts, corsages, centerpieces, etc). If I hadn't written it down, I know I would have forgotten someone or something!

Go on the knot under planning and click on the flower section and they have something called the Ultimate Flower Guide. It doesn't have all the flowers in the world. But it has a good amount and it lists the colors available and when they are in season and the types of smells they make. It helped me out a lot. Before I looked at it, the only flower I knew was a rose.
