As you know, I'm an 11/11/11 bride and am having trouble finding a DOC still available on my date. I need the DOC to be under $1,000 (closer to $500 or less if possible). I'd prefer someone who has been in the business for a while and has a website with blog so I can see their work. Also, they must not flake out on me and be prompt returning my phone calls/emails.
Here is who I've called so far:
-Luz Sanchez - very flaky, called/texted/email almost everyday for two weeks, but never heard back even once!
-Jessica's Events - also flaky, sold me out while I signed the contract!
-Karla Blanco - not available
-Vivian Colls - not available
-Memory Lane Events - I did not click with them, plus they seemed like a small company that didn't have as much experience as I was looking for
-Tamara Cohen/TC Event Design - $1500 for DOC, over budget
-Guerdy - also $1500 for DOC, over budget
-Sophia from Events on a Budget - available, but without unlimited correspondence, if I want to add anything more than the "pre-wedding meeting" in terms of correspondence its $1100!
-Marilyn Exposito - I low balled her on price, and now I don't think she'd work with me
-Magical Plan It - anyone heard of them? They randomly emailed me after hearing about my beef with Jessica's Events. I tried emailing them back, but they didn't get back to me. I don't like their blog since it doesn't showcase what they've done.
It makes it so much harder that I can't go to SoFla bridal shows or just meet them in person. Please help ladies by sending me your recs with how much they charge for DOC. Thanks!
