Need vendor Recs - keeping pet peeve in mind

Ok, so I'm a total neat/organizational freak.  If you text me, chances are, I'll text you back in 30 secs.  Punctuality is my forte.  My absolute pet peeve is not hearing back from people in a timely manner.

With that said... can you recommend vendors that are very prompt when returning texts/email and show up on time for appointments and most importantly day of?

Right off the bat, I know that Gil Sosa, genious he may be, would never work out for me.  I spoke to a photographer recently, we were supposed to have a Skype date, but it seemed like he forgot, I had to call him and remind me.  Then he said he would have a proposal fo rme by Friday, he didn't and I had to email him about it.  I emailed him to see if I can meet with him in person, and still no response.  This photog is great, and in my price range, but I just can't handle untimelyness.  So I rather go with someone else.

I am looking for high quality photogs (around the $4,500 range) and a high quality videographer (max $3,000 for a 20 min film).

To give you some ideas of what I'm looking for, I like this kind of work:

For photogs I like the work of Maloman and Ricardo Serpa, but out of budget.

For videography I like the work of Ray Roman (way out of budget) and Belvedere (not available on my date).

Haven't even started looking at florists yet, but definitely want somone that won't go MIA after I make a phone call.

She's in Vegas this week for WPPI, as a lot of photogs are this week.  So if you email and don't get a response right away, don't be alarmed.  She rocks.

For photography I am using Brett Tyler and for videography I am using Cabana Pictures (I also wanted a style similar to Ray's).  They are both right in those styles/price ranges and have been great about getting back to me quickly.  Not within 5 minutes, but for sure within 24 hours.  They both sent me their contracts within hours of speaking to them on the phone.

I had to double check if I was the one who wrote this post- I am exactly the same way! My videographer (not sure if its the same style you are looking for) is MXI Studios. Kenny is really prompt and always emails back right away (I was actually emailing back and forth with him this morning!) Good luck in your search for the most responsive vendors...my patience has been tested to the umpteenth degree during all this wedding planning!

I had a couple of potential vendors that either never called me back or set up phone conversations and canceled them at the last minute (not reschedule!), I just took this as they were not meant to be my vendors. I prefer contact within 24hrs if I email them but sometimes things happen and if it a little takes longer I try not hold it against people.

I am also using Brett Tyler for my photography and I am using Blueshore for video. Both have been very responsive

My florist, A Touch of Paradise, is super-responsive.  After we met with them, they had a line-by-line contract ready for us within 72 hours, and they answer my emails really promptly.

I was looking for the same things as you and this is what I got and am extremely happy with:

photographer - Gregory Paul - It was a long drive for me for definitely worth it and to be honest I feel like he could easily charge more because of his experience and work.

video: Ever Clear Productions - We met with over 5 videographers and we clicked with this husband-wife team the best. They are more low key in the marketing and facebook aspect but when you meet them in person and see their work you will love them!

    HTH :)

Hello there. I would look into Simply Cinematic. They were half the cost of Ray Roman when I looked into them, but it also depends on what you want. They are based out of Orlando Fl and were incredibly good with correspondences. I unfortunately went with Ray Roman and was very disappointed with my results and wish I went with someone else. I paid a fortune ($9000+) for a about a 25 minute video with a same day edit, and regret it. I was told it would be up to 45 minutes and not even close. So its important to establish that with your cinematographer. The other VERY important advice I can offer is ask to see actual wedding videos. Ray doesn't provide examples of these and you expect your videos to look like the same day edit or next day edit examples and that wasn't the case at all. Our video actually had a cartoon drive in movie theater border in it, which was very weird and not expected. Simply Cinematic actually invited us to their studio (which I was impressed by) and Ray doesn't. I hope this info was helpful and I hope everything works out for you. Good luck!
