my dream was to be a pastry chef..but for various reasons I never followed that path.

Right now I work with my mom in her small business and I hate it...so im crossing my fingers to get a job next year as a teacher.

i'm in school to be a pastry chef. and i mean, i'm not in the industry yet so i'm kind of not applicable to this poll, lol. but i was in school for photography and then graphic design, and i love culinary arts way more. if that counts.

I went to school for Graphic Design and I'm working in my industry. There are days when I'm totally inspired and other days when I just stare blankly at the screen saying to myself "wtf did I get myself into?" For the most part, I like it.

I'm a speech therapist and I mainly work with kids under 3. I LOVE my job. Kids are so much fun and this job is very rewarding.

I went to school for English Lit. Spent all four years finding experience in the publishing industry (i have like three marketing internships under my belt).... only for it to take a massive poop right before I graduated. Now I'm working at a "job" (hey, its money, right?) and waiting for the economy to pick up. ::headdesk::

I went to school to be a paralegal, and when I started working as one, I didnt really like it.
But I stuck with it and somehow became a personal assistant to an attorney and his wife and I do very minimal paralegal work. I absolutely love my job, but mostly because of my boss. He is so generous and kind.
Its not the career I would have chosen for myself, but I do love it.

I do customer service and its totally not what I want to do. I went to school for Sports Management but I am having trouble getting into it. I hope that we settle down somewhere soon so I can pursue it more..

    Thanks for sharing girls.

I went to school for International Relations, and the market had already taken a dump when I graduated, so I'm still working at the"job" (I'm an administrative assitant) that sustained me through college. While I'm thankful to have an income, I hate my job. I'm sooo over it. I'm so misserable having to get out of bed everyday knowing I have to come here.

Buttt... I'm super scared to jump ship with the state the economy is in. I'm scared to start somehwere new, things don't go well, and getting laid off. I absoloutely cannot afford to be unemployed. I can't make up my mind to stay here, at least until after the wedding, or to leave. :(

I went to school for computer science, couldn't find a job for like 3 years out of college, then I found my current job and I have been here like 4 years. At first it was good, but now I feel like it is not challenging at all. At least I have time to plan my wedding and knot. Since my only complaint is it is too easy, I think I better stay here.

I'm going to go back and finish college after the wedding and honeymoon.

Had a great job, got mad one day, quit, regret it now!!  It is really hard to find a good job.  I've been trying to find something in retail to hold me over.  My fiance says he dosen't want me to work at all, but I am REALLY bored!!  And we could use the extra money.

Twinke, hold on to your job as long as you can stand it.  There aren't many out there right now!!
