What's the thank you card rule?

Remember my real wedding gifts from my real registry because I'm really getting married? Well, FI said that they arrived today. Is it okay if we just keep everything wrapped until after the wedding, or are we supposed to open it and send a thank you card within a certain amount of time after receiving the gifts? I'd rather wait because I want to get to open some gifts too, and they're all (hopefully) going to California.

    Yes. Just wait and make sure after the wedding you sit down and get all of the thank you's out of the way.

    I'd send them after the wedding (but I'd probably open the gifts now because I'd be too excited to wait...!)

    Open the gifts now!! How can you possibly wait?? But I would def wait till after the wedding to start sending out thank you cards. You technically have a year after your wedding to make sure they are all sent out.

    We just got a wedding gift yesterday and I couldn't resist to open it!!  I am keeping a list of wedding gifts, that we have received thus far, however will not be sending out the thank you notes until after the wedding.  Like Faith, I was too excited to wait, especially since we are leaving for Florida tomorrow!!
