Honeymoon

How far in advance should we book our honeymoon? We haven't decided what we are going to do yet. FI doesn't want to go on a cruise, but I do. He would rather go to a resort on an island. We are looking into Antigua, possibly. I am also not sure if we are going to be able to take it right after the wedding, in case I land a new teaching job this coming school year. Ahh. No idea what to do. How close to the actual date should I make sure to book it by?

    I booked my flight a week ago. I knew since the gas prices were going up... The flights would be going up. We got each flight for $750 per person and I knew it was a steal. The next day they went to $1,000 per person

    We are kind of going through the same thing!!  I'm a teacher too and my spring break won't be til March next year but our wedding is Feb. so we are going to honeymoon about a month after the wedding.  We are also torn between a long cruise to a bunch of different places or just go to an all - inclusive... decisions decisions...

    Wow! That is so awesome the deal you got on the flight! I am glad you didn't wait a day! :)

    I am glad I am not the only one going through this! My wedding is in November, so we were thinking about possibly doing our honeymoon right after Christmas, when I have 2 weeks off from school.

    I actually booked my honeymoon in December for a January 10th departure date. Lol. I was DYING but we got there and back and had an awesome time!

    We just booked ours and we're a month and a half out.
    We decided to skip having to do more planning lol and just picked a 7 day cruise going to Cozumel, Belize, Isla Roatan (Honduras), and Grand Turk. We've got four days were we can do the fun on-shore excursions and then 2 days at sea where we can lounge around and relax. I was deciding between the all-inclusive and cruise as well but in the end, I'm a sucker for traveling and the cruise offered being able to see more places

    Jeni10- my fi works for carnival if you're interested in cruises. Let me know if you're interested. We are going on a shorter cruise because of time but they have some great ones that we might do later in the year! :)
