DO NOT USE ADVANCED PHOTO STUDIO & EVENTS - Long

I was on a very tight budget for my wedding that was on April 10th and did tons of research on photographers and got prices from everyone. I got Francisco's pricing and was shocked to see how good his prices were. He did not charge by the hour but by the package. We emailed back and forth and then meet in person so he could show us his portfolio. The pictures looked great. My husband and I were very impressed. So we signed the contract and sent in a deposit. Everything was going great. The day of the wedding he showed up to where I was getting ready and took pictures of all of us getting our hair and make-up done and then group pictures once everyone was dressed. At the ceremony and reception he was taking pictures. I would look at him at times and would see him on his phone responding back to a text message. He was always looking at his phone and then once the wedding was over he was in such a hurry to leave that he couldn't wait for my father to walk out to the car to get the check for his remaining balance and told me that we would get together the following week and he would give me my cd's and I could give him the check then. So I waited to hear back from him that week and finally got an email on the following Friday saying that he was going out of town for a couple of days and asked if I could send him the check and once his wife received it she would mail me the cd's. The check was cleared on April 21st and I am still waiting on my cd's. I have left him voicemails and sent him emails and have not received a response. I am now persuing legal action against him. Don't make the mistake that I made. Now I only have the pictures that our family and friends took of our wedding. Luckily my husbands cousin took some video of the ceremony and reception so we will have those memories to look back on.

If only I would have seen this a few days before my wedding. I hired Franco Corrales in April of this year for my November 11th wedding. I spoke with him a week before my wedding and he assured me everything was fine. But he never showed up. I looked at reviews for him back when I booked him and at that time, he only had good reviews and sadly, your review wasn't there yet. It was one of the worst days of my life. I hope you win your lawsuit against him although I'm sure it will never heal the emotional damage suffered.

Omg! I have him booked for our wedding on Dec 10th, only 1 week away!! We are going to cancel and pray we find someone else! Thank u for your post!!
  • Absolutely STAY AWAY from Advanced Photo Studio& Events/ Francisco Corrales.
I also hired him for the same reason of him being inexpensive compared to the competion.  We got married in August 2011 and he disappeared with our wedding video.  Had to hunt him down to his home address, which by the way is where he seems to run his business, and he would even see me saying to his Condominium guard both while on the phone with him that he was out of town.  The guard man was so embarrased that I noticed he called him to his apartment upstairs.  We finally receiced a wedding video with a "HAND WRITTEN" note from a person we never even met apologizing for a video malfunction.  Malfunction???  The video was distroyed.  I track the video guy he sub-contracted by phone and he said that he didnt notice there  was an error with the camera.  That and the note tells you what professionals they are.  Now we have to seek expensive video & audio restoriation to try and repair our video.  We are also looking into legal action.  My advice, stay away from this guy and business and pay more and make sure he has a store front and legal corporation.  It will be worth it.
  • I hired this man for my wedding back in 2009. He went to the wedding, took plenty of pictures and NEVER gave me my prints or the $700 coffee table album i paid for. DO NOT USE HIM!!!! Its very sad to see that this has happened to soo many people.
