MOB & MOG dresses????

Where is everyone getting their mother of dresses? My mom is on the bigger side and my FMIL is on the smaller side( but is consistantly saying how fat she is!!! OMG she's skinnier than me). I was thinking Lane Brant for my mom and like Dillards for the FMIL. Right after prom season all the dresses will be on sale. Where are you ladies going? TIA

My mom went to Stein Mart. She's short and a size 16. My FMIL got hers at Dillards. HTH.

My mom is still deciding but ordered a bunch from Nordstrom so we will see.

Thanks ladies!! I was thinking of just going to a department store, then if I couldn't find my mom something I would take her to Lane Bryant.

Wha? Am I supposed to be involved in their dress shopping? Thank God I don't live anywhere near either of them! I'd be miserable going shopping with FI's mom. Good luck with your shopping though!

Although I bought my MOB dress in PA where I live, I have another suggestion. I got mine in a local bridal salon. The reason was... every department store I went to Nordstom's, macy's etc- either didn't have a dress I liked in my size or in a color I wanted. I searched the MOB dresses on the Knot and found some designer's I liked that didn't look frumpy. I am a younger mother and didn't want to look too old fashioned. One bridal salon told me since I am younger, I should get a BM dress! (I didn't go there!)
I found I liked the dresses by Jade and Jade Couture. I found a bridal shop that sold them. I was able to custom order the dress in my size, color and length (short, tea length, or floor length). Then alterations made it fit perfectly!
