Beach wedding venue tips?

Hi everyone!
I'm Melanie. I am pretty new to the board (got engaged two days before christmas). My wedding is going to be Feb 11 2012. My FI and I are hoping to do a beach wedding in palm beach county or maybe north broward county if we had to. We are trying to find a venue where we can get married on the beach and then have the reception in the hotel on the beach that's not overly expensive. There will be around 130 people. I was wondering if you all had any suggestions on venues. I looked at the delray beach marriott, but that seems to be just a little too much. We would like to book soon so they don't fill up. Forgive me if this topic has been done already. :) I appreciate any advice that can be given.

Boca and Delray do not allow ceremonies on the beach. Singer island allows it and I believe Jupiter. Try Jupiter Beach Resort and Hilton Singer Island. Deerfield allows beach weddings, just need to fill out a permit. Hope this helps for now!

I am getting married at the Hillsboro Club. It is in Hillsboro Beach Florida which is North Broward. www.hillsboroclub.org

They have there own private beach because it is a private club. It is also not outrageously priced. The pictures dont do the place justice you have to go and see it. It is goregous.

If you thought Marriott Delray was expensive, Hilton Singer Island is up there too...they were a little less than Delray Marriott when I was venue shopping back in 2009.

    Keep us posted!

Well, I found/booked a place. It was quite a journey as I had three other "almost" venues which all fell through for a variety of different reasons. But I think in the end, we got the venue that is meant for us. We are getting married on Deerfield beach outside the Wyndham hotel with the reception inside the hotel. The hotel is all rennovated and GORGEOUS and all who work there are exceptionally helpful. I'm very satisfied and cant wait to go futher in planning! Feels great to have the venue checked off the list.:)
