How long did it take everyone to find their venue? I have been to about 10 places this weekend and found a few....but I feel like time is ticking since it will only be a week away. We are making appts to see about 15 next weekend and then hopefully by them we will have found our place!

I went to about 12 locations and emailed about every single one in South Florida.

4 months.  Saw at least 30-40 venues and got quotes from everywhere between Key Largo and Boca.  You are fine.

Honestly, I was engaged for a year before I found my venue. Granted, I still had a year to go before our wedding date, but I started looking when we got engaged, and either I wasn't happy with the venue, it was over our budget; I always found something wrong with the venues I visited. It was almost a year later when I finally found a venue that fit mine and FI's vision for the wedding and was within the budget. Hang in there, you'll find the perfect place.

I looked at at least 15 venues in person. Probably another 20+ online. I only had 2 weekends to do tours but even after I had a favorite it took a while to get the contract finalized

We saw maybe 8-10 in person... but I seriously emailed/got quotes from 40-50!!  After we went and saw the venue we decided on, we were done looking.  We were both so happy with it.  Everything about it was what we were looking for: location, price, DOC is fabulous, food is amazing, everything -- we could immediately picture ourselves there on the big day   Good luck!  You will know when you find the right place.

We are planning a FL wedding from NY so it took us about 1 1/2 months to find our venue.  You're going to think I'm insane but we saw about 26 venues when we flew down to Miami for a long weekend a couple weeks ago (no lie) and researched a bunch before going down, probably inquired with about 70.  It was really hard because I didn't feel like we found our perfect venue that had EVERYTHING we were looking for that was also within our budget.  But the place we ended up picking was a place that we immediately fell in love with.  We had to let some of the 'cons' go because we loved it so much.  Don't worry, you'll get there and will know when you find the one venue for you and your fiance.  I could send you a list of all the places we looked into if you want.  Send me a message with your email address and I'll send it over to you.  Good luck!

I searched online for about 3 months and then saw only about 3 or 4 venues before I decided. I booked mine about 10 or 11 months in advance
