seating chart

what tools are you using to make your seating chart? when i first joined the knot i started to use their guest list tool but i didn't like it at all so i just made a spreadsheet (a pretty kick-ass one, if i do say so myself) - so i don't really want to use their seating chart tool. any suggestions??

I just wrote down on a piece of paper, table numbers and who would sit where.  I shifted and moved names until I got the tables I wanted.

Spreadsheets are my best friends :) and then to create my actual seating chart (instead of using individual escort cards for everyone) I found an awesome template online.

I am just going to get a poster board and draw out the reception space. Then move people around as needed. Simple is the way to go.

Put everybody's name on a sticky note, then get those round paper plates, and go sticking the names on them as if it were an actual table. This way you have a really good visual of where everyone is sitting.

The paper plate method is also a great option and fun. :)

ok so i did the chart last night and i went with the poster board and sticky note route. it worked perfectly! it was very easy to move the sticky's around and the poster board provided a good visual of the room layout. thanks for all the suggestions!

now if only we could get those last few rsvps back. grrr.
