Coral Gable Congregational Brides? and a vent

I was wondering if you brides getting married there where catholic or christian? Im so confused I had set out my date for sunday and had difficult time finding church catholic church to marry us (FI and I are catholic arnd our families) on sunday. always wanted to walk down a church aisle my FI and decided on CGC. His parents were not so okay but supportive  being that it was not a catholic church and my mom had her issues but was "fine" later. I since have found a catholic church that would marry us on a sunday. My FI wants us to baptize our children catholic and is now saying why dont we marry under a catholic church. I belive in GOD and know he is everywhere and we love each other and would bless our marriage because we love each other and are commited to the vows we will say. AHHHH LATIN PARENTSS!!!! Im fine switching churches but deposit has been place and non refundable :( any one had issues as such.
PS his parents arent avid church goers. But it is FI wish and he has given me free reign in everything else this is only part he truly cares about.

whats a bride to do ???

this is tough one! My cousin isnt not getting married in the catholic church but will be going there afterwards to get blessed so her kids could be baptized in the catholic church.  Do you or the FI belong to a specific church? I would ask them if they can do this.  That way you dont loose your deposit that you gave to the church, but FI can get his wish of baptisim in the catholic church.

Catholic wedding masses are really different and being married in another church does not make you wedding in the eyes of the Catholic church so if it makes him happy and you want your kids to grow up Catholic losing a couple hundred bucks won't be such a big deal.
