Recipe Post: Leftover candy canes?

I've been making stuff with all my left over candy canes and these things are so yummy! Here are some things i've done. :)

And the best part is...
ONLY ONE OF THESE RECIPES REQUIRES AN OVEN! lol

Peppermint Brownies
I bought a box of Ghirardeli Ultimate Fudge Brownie mix.

I took about 5 unwrapped candy canes and smashed them up in a zip lock bag. Don't mash too much, you want little chunks.

I took some of the really fine candy cane powder in the zip lock bag and included it in the brownie mix.
Bake as directed on the box. Top with the included fudge packet.
After it's nice and even, just sprinkle your mashed up candy canes on top!

-------------

White Chocolate Peppermint Bark

Easiest thing in the world!
I bought 1 bag (12oz) of Nestle white chocolate chips.
Mash up about 4 or 5 candy canes in a zip lock bag.

Melt the chocolate in a bowl in the microwave for about 1:15 minutes.
(When you take it out of the microwave the chips "look" like they're still solid. They just need a little mushing and stirring)

Add the candy canes. Mix a little more.

Spread it on some parchment paper on a flat pan.
Pop it in the fridge for 45 minutes or until it's hardened.
Then just break it up!

-------------

Mini Candy Cane heart treats!

How cute is this?!

If you have little candy canes left over, this one's for you!

Put the candy canes on parchment paper on a flat pan.
Make little heart shapes.
Melt some melted white or regular chocolate, and fill in the hearts.
(if you have those cool "frosting bags" use that, or carefully do it with a spoon)

Sprinkles on top.
Then fridge until the chocolate is hardened.
