*Update* Groom Cake Vendor Review (w/pics)

After a week and a half, I finally received a call from Passion for Pastry about my concern.

Concern: Cake was a major disappointment. Details left out and charged for delivery because cake wasn't ready when we went to pick it up

Resolution: delivery charge refunded. Excuse for not refunding any balance on cake - "They did as much detail as they could within the price and size of cake." UMMM THEN DONT TELL ME YOU CAN DO IT IF YOU CANT! I WOULD HAVE GONE SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I am obviously still not happy.  Delivery should never have been charged in the first place because I had called to say someone would be picking up the cake first thing in the morning and it wasn't ready.

Things wrong with cake: (1) No scoreboards with Wedding date as stated in the CONTRACT (2) no "Cobra" written on the back of the silver car as rewuested in email (3) staging light tree looked nothing like its supposed too, it looked like a traffic light (4) the size of the cake was half as big as they said it would be. I was told it would feed 40-50 guests and it was more like 20-25.

Can't use the excuse that you "didnt have an understanding of what a drag strip is supposed to look like" because I sent good pictures!  AND if your job is to make a design cake and you're not sure, then ask the client or do your own research! I made the deposit over a month before the wedding, so there was plenty of time. Although not stated in the contract, through multiple email correspondences I requested that one car be a cobra and the other a 5.0.  I said I could even just get matchbox cars because it was important. I understand the cars are made of sugar and cant look like the exact car, hence the request for "cobra" to be written on the bumper.

Here are some of the pictures I sent and then what the cake looked like.

Ugh, I know its just a cake, but I can't justify spending the $$ I did on something that is not clearly lacking detail.  A drag strip is NOT a drag strip without scoreboards and a staging light! All his buddies were making light cracks on it too. Anyway, sorry for my long rant. Back to work.
