Valentines Day..

What is your FI and you doing for Valentines Day? I told mine to just buy me a book, and some $0.35 wings!! LoL. Our wedding day is soooo close I dont want to make a big deal of it. Plus on a sad note: its my dad's birthday and he passed away (it will be 4 years in april)

I'm so sorry about your father. My mom's mom passed away before she got married so I can imagine how difficult it must be. I'm sure he'll be in the front row in spirit.
We're going to dinner and no gifts. Way too much wedding planning going on to worry about presents.

This Valentine's day we'll actually not spend too much time together, he's got class until 7:30! But I'm still getting him (per his request after getting a set at xmas) ninja throwing start push pins from Think Geek.

I got FI (us!) Jimmy Buffett tickets... and I had to tell him already so he wouldn't get them too.

I want to go to our venue for dinner that night.  The food is awesome... and I want to make sure it stays awesome.

There's already too much planning and money going into the wedding so we've been keeping it super simple at all holidays this past year, Valentine's will be the same. Actually, FSIL got us gift certificates to a spa so we'll probably schedule a massage for the 12th or 13th and then dinner later.

We always go to the melting pot for dinner. We never do big presents on valentines day, I'm happy with a box hearts (the ones with the messages) and I'll prob buy him reeses peanut butter cups.

Just a card and probably staying in. We need to save money for the wedding and house and restaurants are too stuffy that day anyways.

I will probably suggest going for appetizers at a potential venue but that's pretty much it

Fi will be in LA where he lives, and I'll be in Miami where I live . I'm sending him a great card though that says something on the front about me being difficult and stubborn, and the inside reminding him that "I'm worth it!" His gift is that we'll go to surf on one of those indoor waves the next time that he's here. He really wants to try it - but I have a suspicion that he'll think it's lame once he's tried!

No plans for us. We're not really big on V - Day, and he works until 9PM that day anyway.

I bought two cards... but FI will be travelling so we will probably do something the wknd before, or after. But nothing big maybe a nice dinner.

I have so many things..that weekend we were going to do a picnic and go to the zoo but now i have my spa day with my MOH that day (shes leaving out of town after) and the next day i have a get together I already have planed to go..so Monday we will probably just have a nice dinner at home and make it a block buster night

Since our wedding day is right after yours, we're just going to do a simple dinner and enjoy eachother.  No gifts or anything since we're spending so much $ on the wedding!

WE are not doing anything. We celebrate Valentines day in June since that is when its celebrated in Brazil ( Fi is brazilian )

Sorry about your daddy.  I don't know what we're going to do, we have spent a extreme amount of money these past couple months... Maybe just a romantic dinner.
