Hair Trial

When you had your hair trial did you know exactly what you wanted and if you want any accessories did you have them with you? I know I want a headband but I haven't decided which one yet? Should I bring ribbon so I'll know where it will go?

My hairdresser is my mom, since she's a hair dresser professionally (that sounded weird)... anyway, I'm also having a headband, and I know exactly what I want done on my hair. So as soon as the headband is ready, I'm doing a trial. HTH!

I would def wait till you have the headband and look at some pictures to get some sort of idea of what you want. Twinkle: My mom is a hairdresser too!!! Aren't you worried it will be too hectic for her to do your hair the wedding day since she will need to get ready too?? I was thinking of getting someone else to do my hair so she could be relaxed but at the same time I know it would mean a lot to her.

i'm going to bring in photos to my girl. I want a comb in but, not sure which one yet. I would bring everything in to the hairdresser if you already have it

Thanks ladies. I know I want an updo with a headband and lots of volume on top. The only things I don't know are which headband I want and if I want the updo to be off center, like on the side or just low and centered. I'm sure she can help me figure it out.

Question- I was thinking about stopping at twinkle twinkle for a headband do you think they are outrageously priced in comparison to maybe online or etsy sellers? Anywhere else down there I can look?

Cram: I know what you mean, but my mom will only be doing my hair and then getting ready herself, so it shouldn't be an issue. She's been doing my hair my whole life, I can't even imagine having someone else do it.

Krysta: I went in to Twinkle Twinkle, and I feel they're outrageously overpriced. My mom is making my headband, and it will look something like this (only with a thicker ribbon):

We went this wknd. and bought the things we needed to make it, and spent less than $20. This one is $70 on Etsy, Twinkle Twinkle doesn't have anything under about $100.

I would (like the girls said) wait until you have everything and print out pics of what you want... they can always help you decide what looks best after you start the trail ..hey thats what its for right lol...also i say look on etsy and around the web...i think you can find better prices for head bands then $100....do you have any idea how you want it to look?

Thanks for the info Twinkle! I think I'll just buy some white ribbon for her to work with while I get my trial and then order online.

My mom is also a professional hairdresser but she's already said she's not doing my hair.  She went through this with my sister and it was too crazy doign her hair and then getting ready herself.
