Help Settle a Debate!

Even though I have forever until I order my invites I know my aunt is going to do my calligraphy (she does a beautiful job!).

She is insisting that I include an insert with my registry information in my invite packet. She said that this is what both of my cousins did and "how else would people know where you are registered?".

From what I read, you aren't supposed to include registry info.. right? I plan on including it on my shower invites as well as putting the registry information on our wedding website (link will be provided on wedding invites).

So, who is right? I'd especially love some links to "offical proof" if you can find it easily!

Thanks!

You're right...but I find it annoying when I get invited to a wedding and have to call the bride up to ask where they're registered (having a website with registry info can clear that up).

Def not 'supposed" to, lol cant you just have all the invites put together and her not know if you put them in or not? We aren't even including the registry on our website.

No way! But actually if you plan on sending her an invite, she will see the final product.

Don't include your registry info on your wedding invites.  Shower invites are OK.  And yes, putting your wedding website, as well as spreading where you're registered by word of mouth is the "proper" way.  People will ask other people, it will get around, don't worry.

I agree with PPs... I will have registry information on our website and wont be including it on my invites.. it's a little tacky.

I agree with everyone else. I would keep it off the invitations and just put it on your website!
