    1. Amazing vendors that made your planning go much more smoothly.
Michelle at The Charthouse (our venue) has been great at giving us advice on the wedding and ceremony

    2. Secret local spots that made for gorgeous photos.
Matheson Hammock Park - Lots of choices for great pics from park, beach, and resturant

    3. Things you wish you had known about planning a wedding in your area.
Photographers and Videographers should be booked well well in advanced! Make a timeline and start booking everyone you can as soon as possible. Vendors in Miami seem to be booked a year and a half to two years sometimes in advance!

Our Caterer Paella Tropical, They have been  very responsive to emails and calls, accomodating the many changes that I have asked for promptly and over all just good people to work with on such an imporatnt step in life.
    2. Secret local spots that made for gorgeous photos.
We plan on going to going to where we had our first date but if that doesnt work we may go to Hollywood's Young Circle.
    3. Things you wish you had known about planning a wedding in your area.
I wish I had known about The Knot Boards sooner. The ladies on this board are like an extension of my family! I run to them and share the little stuff before I go and tell my Fiance because I know they are the ones who understand the sense of accomplishment felt even if its the purchase of a mini candle!

     1. Amazing vendors that made your planning go much more smoothly.
My florist, A Touch of Paradise, has been fantastic.  We went in with minimal inspiration (our invitation) and a couple of kinds of flowers they liked, and they created a vision for us.

Our caterer, Ken-Rose Catering, went above and beyond to create a custom vegetarian menu for us that fuses Indian and Mediterranean cuisine.

    2. Secret local spots that made for gorgeous photos.

The Morikami Museum & Gardens, Delray Beach.

    Blowing Rocks Nature Preserve, Jupiter.

    3. Things you wish you had known about planning a wedding in your area.
Ask your venue's coordinator or manager for vendor recommendations.  There are so many vendors in the SoFL area that they can help you find one that comes highly recommended.  I used the florist recommended by my venue, and it made everything much easier, because they already knew the setup of the venue and how to best decorate it.

My DOC Karla Blanco from Stylish Events has been more than helpful... she has contacted different vedors when I could not get a hold of them. She has had some great ideas along the way since she has more experiences with weddings.
    2. Secret local spots that made for gorgeous photos.
I loved using Schnelby Winery in Homestead, Fl for the engagement pictures... many different romantic spots to use there.
    3. Things you wish you had known about planning a wedding in your area.
I think it is smart to start your research early because you can get rates from the previous year and pay less. I also think its important that brides make a priority list (i.e. #1 venue #2 photography  #3 DJ) so that when a certain vendor is overbudget you can go under budget in other vendors that are not a priority to you or FI. MAKE THIS LIST AS SOON AS YOU START PLANNING!

Kathy from It's My Party. She did my invitations. She was amazing. She was so patient with me and we got to make everything from scratch.
Jacqueline Goldman from J Morgan Flowers. Super nice. Tells you how it is and lets you know we can do this but we are going to charge when you can do it yourself cheaper. Super nice.

    2. Secret local spots that made for gorgeous photos.
A park. Daggerwing Nature Center in Boca Raton. Just because we live in Florida not everything has to be on the beach or be with palm trees.
    3. Things you wish you had known about planning a wedding in your area.
How many different vendors there are out there and do not rush to book one. Take your time because it doesn't matter how many you speak to you want to find the perfect one for you and not have regrets.
