"YGM" (confession)

Okay, I know this is kind of lame but I used to only see people post "YGM!" to each other after the weekend that one of them would get married...so I thought it meant "You got married!"

And one week we had two knottie brides that had the same wedding date "YGM" each other and I totally thought that was cute.

Now I discover it means "You Got Mail."

Well, to me, it'll always mean "You Got Married!"

So there.

You're not the only one who got confused by the knot lingo. At my first GTG I took the opportunity to ask all the questions. The AW one really confused me until I was told what it was.

I also was on here a very long time before I knew what some of them were. I thought DH was Dear Honey. Ha ha. It was also at my 1st GTG that I found out what they were and Jagore was one of the informants! Thanks!

too funny! I got lost with DH and AW....now I can't believe it, in my everyday conversations I actually use the knot lingo. Many get freaked when I say " I can't wait to send the STD's out" lol

LOL!!!! ok so since we are talking about this... what DOES AW mean?

I was shocked to see girls talking so openly about STD's then I realized they mean save the dates. Imagine my concern when girls were like " OMG I just sent out my STD's" wow TMI if you ask me lol now I know what it really means!

I STILL don't know any of the lingo except for TMI and that's only because ppl around me say it in general lol. Now I know what AW means and YGM yay! lol sooo what does DH stand for?
I noticed they are only referred to DH after marriage..but i still can't figure it out. Something husband? lol i dnno. too many too keep up with =/
