The Good, The Bad, and The Beautiful

what a day! The Good: A friend of mine worked some magic for me and got some wonderful Godiva chocolates for 75% off for us. I didn't think I was going to be able to do guest favors, but I am now! The Bad: One of my oldest friends "P" from college called me today to tell me that she's going to miss the wedding this Sunday. Her reason was a combo of work (she has to be in North Dakota Monday morning for a photo shoot) as well as her forgetting what day the wedding is. It made me so sad, but I put on my big girl pants and told her that she's gotta do what she's gotta do. The Beautiful: I came home bummed after P telling me she'll miss the wedding to find a surprise email in my in-box. A good friend of FI is a performance artist. He wrote a poem for the both of us and it suits us beyond anything I could have ever imagined. FI had tears in his eyes after reading it. We're trying to figure out a way to incorporate it into the ceremony. :) And on that note, I will leave you with a pic of the chocolate yummies are prettily wrapped up! 4 more days... 75% off chocolate is always good! :)  Sorry that your friend will be missing the wedding.  I know it sucks when you find out that someone important to you won't be able to make it but you'll still have a beautiful day!  That poem sounds so thoughtful and the chocolates are so cute all wrapped up....did you get the paper from Paper Source?  Hope these last couple of days go well for you! :)

Sorry that your friend has to miss your wedding.  I had a few good friends who were not able to come, I was so disappointed. It would be great to incorporate something written by a friend into the ceremony, what a nice touch! The chocolates look so nice!!!  I love Godiva!

Wow, what an emotional few days for you! I'm sorry to hear about your friend, I'd be bummed too. But those favors look so cute! I love all the different patterns, can't wait for all your wedding pictures! Could you do the poem as a reading? Will the author be at the wedding? I think it would be sweet to have him read it!

thanks for all the kind words, ladies...you all are the best!summer, the papers are from papersource.khimes, our friend isn't going to be at the wedding, sadly. if we had had time, it would have been so cool for him to film himself reading it. we could have played it during the wedding on the cinescreen.
