Are You Whitening Your Teeth?

Just a quick question- how many of you are planning on getting your teeth whitened?  I've been tossing the idea around, but I don't know if it's worth it or not.

FI and I whitened for our e-session and plan to again for the wedding. we used the listerine strips that dissolve. we really liked the results :) we used the strips once a day for a month, or you could do the recommended twice a day for two weeks.

We've recently started the crest whitening strips together. Kinda slimy and gross and they make you drool, but I'll let you know how it goes =)

I agree with previous posts, the strips work good. I don't think I'd pay for a dentist to whiten my teeth for almost same results. Be prepared for the sensitivity. =|

I had my teeth whitened before I got 4 veneers on the top! So I can't make them any lighter than they are now, though I use the crest strips on the bottom every few months just to keep them white.

I had mine done last week by the dentist and she is doing FI's tonight. She did the laser whiteing, which was really cool and gave us 2 for the price of one which was a really good deal.

My dentist was running a special with the whitening trays where they take an impression of your teeth. I still have tons of whitening gel, and it worked like a dream. Now I just need to use them one day every six months to maintain my shade of white.

Thanks for all the advice, I will definitely start to use sensitive toothpaste- since the strips tend to make my teeth a little more sensitive.Back to the strips!  My tongue is tingling already!

yes we used the whitening strips by crest and we are planning on doing it again  a few months before the wedding. They work great, and yes, they do cause sensitivity and make your teeth hurt for a little bit but it all goes away.

Thanks to FI's great dental plan, I'm going to get a deep cleaning sometime before the wedding (already did this year, we get a deep cleaning annually as part of the plan). We're getting married in April, so I'll probably do the cleaning in Jan. or Feb. and if that's not enough I'll do the strips afterward.
