Cake/Bakery Recommendation Update

Hi ladies!   First of all, just want to thank everyone for the cake/bakery recommendations! My FI and I got a chance to visit Takes the Cake in Pasadena and Jacki's Cake Creations in North Hollywood. They both had very delicious cakes and very different styles. I liked Jacki's because her prices were very, very reasonable and she was super sweet and she's a local business in our neighborhood. BUT...the cake at Takes the Cake won me over. They had such moist cakes and the filling was just ridiculously delicious. The cake practically melts in your mouth! I highly recommend chocolate cake with hazelnut mousse filling.    Anyways, thanks again ladies and happy planning!

Yay! I'm glad you loved and went with Takes the Cake, too. I am really excited for our wedding cake from them.I wish I had tried chocolate with hazelnut! But everything we tried was so delicious, I wish I had a piece right now!

We used Takes the Cake last year for our wedding! SOOOO GOOD! We just went with basic white cake with cream cheese mousse filling and it was to die for. And it was still delicious a year later! Good choice

i'm going with jacki's...love her carrot cake and bananna cake. however i wished i heard about takes the cake in pasadena. :(i loves me some cake! choco with hazelnut sounds delish.

Princesa, that cream cheese mousse is awesome! We are having a layer that is white cake with the cream cheese mousse and strawberries, and even though I usually don't even like white cake, it was my favorite sample.

I want cake now. To bad it takes forever to defrost... (yes we still have leftovers over a year later! It was to yummy to throw away!)
