Help! I need vintage flower ideas =/

Our wedding is at an Estate with kind of a "backyard wedding" feel but it's also going to carry a vintage theme. Before I ask my question I want to kind of paint a picture of our theme so you girls get the right idea and maybe it will be easier to suggest something.I will be incorporating lace throughout the wedding, I will be placing large vintage pic frames in the center of the tables and have the vase and flowers in the center of the frame as the centerpieces, I have a vintage little table I will be using as the guest book table, for the guest book -- well, we aren't having a guest book we are having squares of fabric for our guests to write on so we can make a quilt out of it later (part of the backyard wedding/vintage theme) But I'm stuck on the type of flowers to use. I really don't want roses, I wanted something different I just don't know what. I like hydrangea and peonies, but I don't know that that's very vintage? I was thinking maybe dried flowers mixed with fresh flowers? Maybe wild flowers?Help! =]Oh BTW my colors are all white with Plum/Eggplantish accents.

The good news is you're a July bride and peonies are well in season then.  If you like the look of lily of the valley, go with Star of Bethlehem<--they look almost exactly like them only they are larger, cheaper and more sturdy.Tulips are very old-fashioned and you can get them in purple.  You can get the small ones that are roughly 12 inches from bloom to stem(those are locally grown), or if you want to go fancier you can get the french tulips(imported) those have large blooms and super long stems--very romantic looking though.Lilac, again very old school but very lovely flowers.  I have seen them in white, light violet and pink.  I love the way they smell. The knot had a episode where they interviewed David Tutera and he showed a "vintage" looking wedding just a few weeks ago.  They used alot of lace and they had a cameo on the bouquet.I hope that helps :)

Sounds pretty! I love plum and eggplant colors! Have you thought about antique roses? Tulips have a very organic, gardeny flow. Hydrangeas are also vintage in look. I would definitely ask your florist for their professional opinion, plus they will know what is in season. My florist has been great when it comes to ideas and getting that "feel." Her website info is on my Bio page of wedding ideas if you are still looking.

Perhaps with a vintage look you could use any flower with a few feathers added to your bouquet. For a great vintage bio, try looking up btansley's bio. It might be on the list of LA knottie bios.
