recommend hair and make-up artist

Hi, I'm looking for a person who can do my hair and make-up. I would want them to come to my home in the San Fernando Valley. Can you ladies recommend your artist if they are local in SFV and tell me how much they charge. Thanks

I HIGHLY recommend Moira Taylor!  She is based out of Hollywood and doesn't have a problem traveling - she also doesn't charge much to do so.  Her website is moirataylor.com and her e-mail is makeup@moirataylor.com.  She traveled to Santa Barbara in August to do my hair and make-up for my trash the dress session and I loved her and the way she made me look!  I completely wish that I would have found her in time for my wedding.Gigi Jara also seems to be great.  She is highly recommended by some of the Knotties and when I contacted her, she had great comptetive prices and was great at responding to e-mails. Good luck and hope that helps!

Well I have been looking into that in the last couple of days, the names that have been thrown to me are: -Leah Garcia from Long Lasting Impression, which seems like she does a good job and she is a knottie fav. She was a bit out of my budget if I'm correct she wanted $360. http://www.longlastingimpression.com/ I also asked to travel in Burbank. -Valerie St. George, she is based out of Burbank and will travel. She does beautiful work. Some one I'm really considering since she is so close to home I'd actually just go in than have her come to my home. She was around $300 w/out travel fees but it all depends what kind of make up you want like airbrush and also your hair. I second Valerie St. George, a knottie recommended me to her. She has her salon in Burbank and does not charge a travel fee if you live in the LA county. I'm getting my trial soon. Here's the breakdown.For hair and makeup $ 200. Breakdown- $100 for airbrush makeup$15 for eye lashes$85 for hair style.$95 for updo Trials are %50 off of price.HTH! GL!

I guess I should of mentioned that the $300 price for Valerie is with trials. If you choose not to do trials Vans price is more  accuarate

I can highly recommend Gigi Jara as well. She charged me alot less than what's been posted to do my services and spend the entire day with me during my bpic shoot. Her work is fantastic!

I may be late on this....  but Valerie St. George  was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just had my wedding this past weekend and it was absolutely perfect!  Everyone complimented me on my hair and make-up and honestly throughout the trial and on the day she was fantastic!  She is sweet and I am going to continue going to her as my regular hair gal! The prices listed above are pretty accurate.  I'd say look into her for sure!!!

I'm using Leah Garcia for my hair and makeup. Total cost for my hair, make up, travel fee, and trials is $325. It is $50 each for hair and make up for my girls. I have been told these aren't her prices anymore.
