I didn't have my reception there, but I looked at it. The room was great, but they did not guarantee the food price at all. Which means that if they felt like it they could raise the price on you even after you signed a contract with them.

I was rather disappointed in that because it was my favorite room, but I wasn't about to risk it.

I looked at it too and I had the same experience as SMHubbard did, also the girl was not very interested in showing us the room.  You can not bring in your own catering everything is done there.  Also if you have more than 120 I believe they split your reception into 2 rooms, so your cocktail hour is in the pretty room with all the windows, then for dinner they move you into a ballroom looking room that is not very pretty, and then for dancing and cake they move you back into the room for the cocktail hour.  They also make your guests pay for parking and there isn't really any street parking available for anyone to avoid that. I wasn't really impressed with them so we moved on with our search.  As for recs I am getting married at the La Canada Country Club and I love it they have wonderful service and food and the view is amazing.  Also you can try The Lindley Scott House in Azusa, The Monrovia History Museum, or The Pasadena Museum of History, these are the ones I can think of off the top of my head, HTH! In my blog, when I am not venting, I have an article called *Reception Questions Every Bride Should Ask*  these were questions I formulated while I was looking for a reception site, I printed them out for myself and had them in front of me when I was interviewing places.
