Hi all,

Its been a while since I posted here.  Probably 450 days exactly lol...

Anyway I wanted to rec my wedding planner.  She was a friend who helped us with our day and now wants to get into wedding planning.  She is awesome and offering her services for FREE for a limited time to gain experience!!
Her name is Julie Nguyen and her email is

I had a very traditional wedding/untraditional party. So here are recs for my other vendors

Women's 20th Century Clubhouse
I think it was $1200 for all day.  Has an awesome stage, beautiful back garden and they were really nice there.  One drawback was no a/c, so I suggest early spring or fall. Can bring in your own wine/beer.

Suzie & her Solid Senders
Amazing swing Band and extremely reasonable price

Taco Cart - because we wanted the bestest LA food for our dinner :D
http://www.mispadres-salsa.com/
They even did a great veggie taco with squash and we able to set up on the patio.

Portos & Susina Bakery
Got a dessert Bar set up because I can never decide on one flavor :)

Here are some pics of my day if you are curious

I really love it!  Can I ask...what was the purpose/meaning of the different fruit/veggies at each table?

Lol! I totally get it!  You're a foodie, so you named all your tables by key ingredients in your favorite cuisine!

Very cool idea.  At first I saw the two onions and I was like "that's different" but I use alot of onions when I cook so that wasn't a necessarily weird thing to me.  Then eggplants totally tipped me off.

Very original theme! Makes me jealous I hadn't  thought of it :)

Not only is it original, but economical as well.  Well done!  I think that's the smartest and most frugal use of a theme I have ever seen any bride come up with.

Obvious Edit: You would have had me at the lady fingered tiramisu.  I LOVE tiramisu, FI hates it.  I compromised on the top tier of our cake being tiramisu, but every other teir regardless of favor would be wrapped in lady fingers!

Excellent execution and excellent choices, imo overall.
