Restaurants in Santa Barbara

Can anyone recommend restaurants in Santa Barbara to have a dinner reception with like 10 people? also i would like to have our cake delivered there as well.
Has anyone done this, and if so, please tell me what you did or what you suggest.

Thanks a bunch!

I don't know of any off hand that will do this specifically, but I can recommend some of my favorite restaurants in SB:

Roy is a place that has amazing food and a cool atmosphere.  Their website says that they do private parties: http://www.restaurantroy.com/

Arigato is a very delicious and popular place for Sushi, and I think that you can rent their upstairs.

I've also heard good things about the Arts and Letters Cafe, though I haven't eaten there.

And I know Epiphany does parties, but I've only had drinks and appetizers there (they were delicious).

    Anyway, hope that helps!

My husband and I had dinner at El Torito on Cabrillo Blvd. right near the pier the night after our wedding with our family and friends wthat were still in town.  We did it last minute and they were able to get our large group (maybe around 15-20 people) in on a Saturday night!  The service and food was amazing.  While we were there, another couple was having their dinner reception towards the back of the resturant and seemed to be having a great time as well.  I'd highly recommend looking into having a rehearsal dinner there as well.

Other resturants that might be good are Moby D!cks (the knot won't let me post it without an ! point to censor the name...haha) or The Harbor/Longboards Resturant both on the pier, Breakwater or Brophy Bros which are both located at the SB Harbor.

Another fun place might be Chino's Rock and Tacos on State Street.  My husband and I happened across Chino's Rock and Tacos during our first anniversary trip and not only was the food so good but the waitresses were all so nice.  Totally a cool  and casual place to have some beer and fish tacos (they have other items as well).  I know they host events there and it seems that they have a pretty cool "lounge" area that can be rented out for private events.

If you check into the Breakwater, try reserving tables outside on the patio.  This is actually one of my favorite places to eat when in SB but the interior is lacking.  The service and food is always good and we love lounging outside while enjoying a view of the harbor.

For something upscale, I've heard great things about Rodney's Steakhouse at the Fess Parker Doubletree from brides that got married there at the same time when I was.  If all else fails, you can always look into places in Ventura and Carpinteria too!  Hope that helps! :)

Ooh!  I second Rodney's!  I always forget about that place, but I had a steak there once that was very very good.
