Semi-new! Need more reception venue ideas!

Hi everyone!!

I know we have a lot of new knotties here, so I am guessing we are all searching for venues at the same time.

I have been looking through all the usual venue websites (herecomestheguide.com, etc) but am still stuck. So, reaching out to the Knot community :-)

I am wondering if in your location search you have stumbled on what I am looking for:

> outdoor reception

> elegant/garden/classic feel (like the Greystone Mansion or Huntington Library)

> can bring all my own vendors

> in LA or Simi Valley adjacent area

Have you checked out Orcutt Ranch? It's in West Hills and might meet your needs, outdoor but you have access to the 1920's house, has a courtyard w/fountain for cocktail hour and then a patio area surrounded by a semi-formal garden. How many people are you having? I don't think you could fit more than 150 is the only drawback. We're having 100 so it's perfect. I recommend seeing it in person, the online pictures don't really show the place well. Oh and the entrance is a bit ugly, you feel like you're on a working farm so push on through until you stumble upon the house.

Camarillo Ranch House lets you bring all of your vendors.  It's very pretty there.
