booking a MUA

When you booked a MUA, did you have a trial done before making the deposit? Or did you make the deposit, and had your hair and MU trial done at a later time?

 I'm looking into some MUA and I'm not sure what to do. I have an idea (pictures) of what I'd like my hair and make-up to look. The thing is that I haven't bought my dress, so my MU and hair inspiration may not go with the dress I chose.

    You don't have to book ahead...but prepare to pay for a trial if you don't prebook.

    I had my trial and then I booked the date with my MUA. You want to have your trial first because you might not like her style once you have your trial.
