Hi ladies! I'm new to this board - thought I'd drop in and share our story.
We met almost 4 years ago, and fell in love immediately. I've never thought I'd actually find someone who I wanted to commit to in such a huge way forever, and so meeting him blew my mind and heart away, and I have never been more alive.
We've talked about getting married for almost as long as we've been dating, but we never wanted to rush things. I went on vacation (to Disney) with my family (he said he couldn't make it). The second day we were there, my entire family and I were walking along a quiet, nighttime riverbank, and somehow (I'm too gullible) they got me to walk up into the gazebo by myself while they lagged behind. He stepped out from behind a pillar, and I IMMEDIATELY started bawling

He walked me over to a little table that he had set up overlooking the water and the huge orange full moon, and proceeeded to overturn a bunch of awesome little hour-glasses, while he talked about us and his love for me. Then, down on one knee (is this a MOVIE?), he proposed. Right after I said yes, fireworks (from Epcot) started going off. For someone who's ALWAYS late

, he sure did an amaazing job of timing it all out perfectly, keeping it super private and peaceful but still including my entire family (which was so important to me).
My whole family is so happy - My Dad was diagnosed with cancer (he's kicking A$s) shortly after this, and I know he's so lit up inside and charged with energy that he needs - knowing that I found such a great guy.
Oh yah, the ring is AWESOME. I never wear jewelry, so this is some serious bling and I feel so special. It's a new ring designed around the center stone that was given to him by his Mom (her originaly engagement stone which they upgraded for their 25? anniversary).
