Yah to being newely engaged. It's such an awesome feeling telling family and friends, I love getting all the excitment around it. The main thing I'm doing right now is trying to book a venue. I've picked a date, now I just want to secure that by booking a venue. Then I'll take a break and take it easy and enjoy being engaged. What about you ladies?

The FI and I are looking into Venues, but probably won't do much more planning until the holidays are over. (I can't say I won't be thinking about ALL the time, though. lol)I would love to incorporate polka dots in a subtle way so people don't think its the theme.(Even though that would be awesome) Lol I'm weird, I know:) Polka Dots are more my thing than my FI's. and I want the wedding to say things about the both of us, rather then all SAMMIE! lol Like, I said I'm wierd:)

Sammie, Polka dots are pretty neat. Very different and unique. But that's a good thing. I've been starting to think of themes too. I know stars will be somewhere in there... but haven't figured an exact theme just yet.

Congrats girls! I don't know about you guys, but being engaged is by far the best feeling in the whole world! I do have a piece of advice for all you newbies that thankfully I learned right before I got engaged and thank goodness I did! BOOK YOUR VENUES AS SOON AS POSSIBLE FOR YOUR CEREMONY AND YOUR RECEPTION!!!! This way you can get what the place that you are wanting on the date that you are wanting! So book as early as you can! Thank goodness I booked my venues when I did because if I would have waited even a week the dates I wanted would have been gone! Even if your wedding is far away, book it! Good luck with planning and Congrats again!

Congratulations everybody! Its so exciting to be engaged... (Nov 6!) I would deff love to start planning, and am really trying to pick a date. The hardest part thus far is getting the fiance to help me pick a time of year...  But all in all I am supremely happy...

And mell66 I LOVE stars and my fiance and I certainly want them in our wedding too... Good luck to everyone with your planning!

I just got engaged on November 6, 2009.
The only project I am trying to secure it the church. They are giving me a hard time and told me alot of dates have been picked already for 2011. Our date is 11-19-11 but I picked several other dates to help with getting the church. We may be gettng married July or August 2011.

I can't figure out what my signature ticker is not showing up? Anyone want to explain it to Me?
