On the night of July 30 2011, I came home late from work around 10:30pm, just exhausted. My boyfriend had been texting me all night asking when I'd be home so we could have a nice evening together. So I get to the front door, and there's a note saying, "Hey babe, come to the backyard." Absolutely clueless, I was thinking "Is it my birthday? No.. Anniversary? No.. what the heck is going on." So I open the back gate and there are hundreds of candles in a pathway thru the backyard that lead into a giant heart. My BF is standing in the middle of it with his guitar singing our favorite song. Afterward, he gave a beautiful little speech and got on one knee and proposed! I was shaking and squealing, but think I managed to say "YES!" It was very intimate and private, I had no idea that there was a photographer hiding, along with his entire family and some friends. He had a table set up with strawberries and champagne for us all to have a toast. Just perfect.
