Hi all,

How long do people usually wait before having an engagement party?

    It is usually no more than a few months after your engagement.  Of course, you don't throw yourself an egagement party, someone offers to throw one for you :-)

    Engagement parties aren't necessary, but for those who have them, they usually occur within the first 4 months of the engagement and you never plan your own.

    It varies.  We had ours a month after our engagement, but we also had a 4 month engagement.

    Before anyone can throw you the eparty though, make sure you are absolutely FINAL on your guest list.  Everyone invited to pre-wedding parties must be invited to the wedding.

    It depends on whenever someone offers to throw you one. Ours was thrown for us a few months into our engagement.

    It varies, ours was about 2 months after we got engaged. Really just depends on when someone offers to throw one for you.
